Ways to Donate to ASDA
American Speech and Debate Association benefits from monetary donations as well as from volunteers who donate their time.
Donate Funds
Thank you for supporting ASDA in developing the next generation of American leaders!
- $30 allows the youth from an entire family to participate with ASDA
- $100 sponsors one competitor’s participation at a tournament
- $250 funds a juniors tournament
- $500 allows one competitor to participate in tournaments for an entire tournament season
- $1,500 provides a tournament venue
- $2,000 funds tournament prizes
- $5,000 sponsors an in-person tournament
Donate Time
ASDA volunteers are invaluable in helping achieve ASDA’s mission to prepare the next generation of leaders. Tournaments are organized and run by an army of volunteers. Each in-person tournament requires more than 1,000 hours of volunteer time!
Tournaments require about 60 community judges. Community judges do not need any previous speech or debate experience since ASDA competitors aim to be effective speakers with any audience. It takes about 2 hours to judge a round of debate or speech at a tournament.
